Mumbai: Aamir Khan recently confirmed that he is getting married for the third time, revealing that it will be a private affair attended only by family members and a few close friends.
According to an India Today report, Aamir and Gauri Spratt have opted for a simple, intimate celebration with a guest list of around 100 to 150 people.
The invitees will include their families, close friends and a select few from the film industry.
The couple has reportedly been personally involved in planning every aspect of the wedding, from curating the guest list to finalising the lunch menu.
The celebrations are expected to begin with the couple registering their marriage under the Special Marriage Act, followed by an intimate lunch for guests.
The report further claims that the lunch will feature some of Aamir and G
auri’s favourite dishes, with the couple closely overseeing preparations.
Their children and immediate family members are expected to attend the ceremony.
Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, a longtime friend of Aamir’s, and director Rajkumar Santoshi are likely to be among the guests.
Speaking to the media at the screening of ‘Pritam and Pedro’ on Thursday evening, Aamir confirmed the wedding date and reiterated that it would be a small, private celebration.
“Haan meri shaadi ho rahi hai July 5 ko aur bahut hi choti shaadi hai, ghar mein hi kar rahe hain. 5 ko bahut hi khaas din hai humare liye aur bas dono families hain, kuch khaas dost hain, chota sa ghar pe hi kar rahe hain hum log. Aur sabki duaein chahenge hum (Yes, I’m getting married on July 5. It’s going to be a very intimate wedding, and we’re having it at home. July 5 is a very special day for us. It will be a small ceremony with just our families and a few close friends. We’re keeping it simple and celebrating at home. We would love to have everyone’s blessings),” he said.
Aamir publicly introduced Gauri during his 60th birthday celebrations in March 2025.
Since then, the couple has made a handful of public appearances together while largely choosing to keep their romance away from the limelight.
Over the past year, Aamir has spoken fondly about Gauri in several interviews, sharing how she has brought renewed joy into his life and expressing gratitude for finding love again.
