Mumbai: As Aamir Khan and his ladylove Gauri Spratt engaged in a candid conversation with media on Thursday at a Mumbai hotel, the latter revealed what attracted her to the actor.
Gauri shared that she wanted a partner who was caring and kind, and Aamir has these qualities. “I wanted someone who was kind, a gentleman, and just caring,” she said.
To this, Aamir to quipped, “And after all that, you found me?”
Gauri, who hails from Bengaluru, also shared that she doesn’t watch Hindi movies and has not seen many of Aamir’s. “She grew up in Bengaluru, and her exposure was to different kinds of films and arts. So, she doesn’t watch Hindi films. She has probably not seen much of my work, too,” the actor explained.
However, Gauri added that she has watched ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Lagaan’ years ago.
Meanwhile, revealing how he connected with Gauri, Aamir shared, “I was looking for someone I can be calm with, who gives me peace. And there she was.”
When asked about marriage plans, Aamir laughed and said ” See, we are fully committed. And I have been married twice. Par ab 60 saal ki umar mein shaadi shayad mujhe shobha nahi degi (Marriage at the age of 60 would not suit me). But let’s see.”
Gauri and Aamir started dating 18 months ago and have known each other for 25 years.
