Mumbai: As Aamir Khan is busy promoting his much-anticipated upcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, his sister Nikhat Khan is gearing up for her television debut.
Aamir’s elder sister will star in ‘Banni Chow Home Delivery’ along with Rajendra Chawl, Ulka Gupta and Pravisht Mishra in key roles.
The TV serial, which can be seen from May 30 every Monday to Saturday at 9 pm on Star Plus, revolves around the story of a young ‘foodpreneur’ who delivers food on her scooter.
“I am excited to make my debut on the small screen with the leading channel of our country Star Plus. It’s an opportunity and an honour to make my place in the viewer’s heart.
Daughter of Bollywood actor, director, producer and writer Tahir Hussain, Nikhat assisted in her father’s first directorial venture ‘Tum Mere Ho’ in 1990, which featured her brother Aamir and Juhi Chawla.
The 59-year-old Nikhat has done roles in films like Tanhaji, Saand ki Aankh and Mission Mangal. She has also tried her hand in costume designing and composing lyrics. But television is completely new territory for her.
