[Watch] AAP MLA Booked For ‘Blowing Kisses’ At Woman; Delhi Records 20% Voters Turnout Till 11 AM

New Delhi:  A case has been registered against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Dinesh Mohaniya for alleged inappropriate behaviour towards a woman.

“A woman filed a case at Sangam Vihar Police Station against AAP MLA Dinesh Mohaniya for giving a flying kiss to her,” ANI quoted Delhi Police sources as saying.

The FIR has been lodged under Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint), and 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to insult a woman’s modesty) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita (BNS).

The incident reportedly took place while the sitting MLA, seeking re-election from Sangam Vihar, was campaigning in his constituency. He is up against BJP’s Chandan Kumar Choudhary and Congress’ Harsh Choudhary.

Meanwhile, Delhi, which is witnessing a high-octane election with AAP eyeing for a straight third term and BJP and Congress fighting to reclaim their electoral fortunes, recorded 19.95% voter turnout till 11 am.
