Mumbai: Actor and Lok Sabha MP Ravi Kishan has thanked Gen Z for turning his recent comments into a social media sensation.
Several clips of the actor-turned-politician have gone viral in recent days, with phrases such as “Jaldi the Late” and “Money follows my brother” becoming popular memes.
Kishan also grabbed attention after announcing a “vow of silence” while speaking about student protests.
On Wednesday, he addressed the viral trend while speaking to the media outside Parliament and thanked the younger generation for their overwhelming response.
He said, “During this Maun Vrat (silent protest), these Gen Z people had made me speechless. As far as I can remember, I have never seen anything like this in this country. The way Gen Z has showered me with so much love, it has been historic, and it is not stopping; it is growing day by day.”
He added, “Saare Gen Z ko main neota deta hoon, aapke brain ko salaam karta hoon (So, I invite all those young people, all the Gen Z. I salute your brains). The kind of creativity you guys are showing is unbelievable. You have taken me, my style, my words, my name, and even my fame to such a huge and extraordinary level.”
Kishan also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi listens to Gen Z on Instagram and takes their views into consideration.
He concluded by thanking the younger generation for making his name viral on social media.

Earlier, during a conversation with HT, the actor said, “No one has discovered me before. Now, they want to see me more and know me more. Gen Z has accepted me as their own. I really want to thank them and salute their creativity.”
However, Kishan said the social media frenzy has not affected him.
“My 85-year-old mother, family members and myself are just speechless. Their prayers have increased and my faith in Mahadev gives me the inner strength to remain in peace. Somewhere I feel Instagram has become a very powerful medium. People are very lonely in personal lives and when on social media something connects with them or entertains them, they connect with it and accept them as family,” he concluded.
On the work front, the actor will next be seen in Mirzapur: The Movie.
