Aayush Sharma Likely To Join Tamannaah Bhatia, Junaid Khan In ‘Ragini 3’

Mumbai: Ektaa Kapoor’s upcoming supernatural thriller ‘Ragini 3’ is already generating buzz with its star-studded lineup.

Amid reports of Tamannaah Bhatia, Junaid Khan and Nargis Fakhri being part of the project, fresh speculation suggests Aayush Sharma may also join the cast.

According to a Variety India report, producer Ektaa Kapoor has cast Aayush in a pivotal role in the film. The report further claims that Aayush will star opposite Tamannaah.

‘Ragini 3’ will be helmed by Shashanka Ghosh, known for films like ‘Khoobsurat’ and ‘Veere Di Wedding’.

Tamannaah will reportedly be paired romantically with both Aayush and Junaid in the story, while Nargis is expected to portray a police officer.

‘Ragini 3’ is also expected to mark a new direction for

the popular ‘Ragini MMS’ franchise, which was previously recognised for its erotic-horror themes.

The film is said to be a high-concept supernatural thriller and is being described as a “date-night horror” entertainer that combines suspense, comedy and spooky elements.

The film is currently in the pre-production stage and is expected to go on floors in July 2026.

The project had reportedly faced delays after director Sahir Raza stepped away due to scheduling clashes with a Netflix venture.

Later, Shashanka came on board as director, helping the film return to track, with the makers now eyeing a theatrical release later this year.

Aayush was most recently seen in ‘Ruslaan’.

Tamannaah, on the other hand, will next star opposite Sidharth Malhotra in ‘Vvan: Force of the Forest’, slated for release on August 28, followed by Ajay Devgn’s ‘Ranger’, which is scheduled to hit theatres on December 4.

The ‘Ragini MMS’ franchise kicked off in 2011 with Rajkummar Rao and Kainaz Motivala in lead roles.

It was followed by ‘Ragini MMS 2’ in 2014, which became widely popular, especially because of the hit song ‘Baby Doll’ featuring Sunny Leone
