New Delhi: Samajwadi Party workers claim they found an abandoned EVM machine in a vehicle without a number plate in Uttar Pradesh’s Kairana on Thursday.
The car, in which the EVM machine was found, had a sticker of Zonal Magistrate – Kairana constituency pasted on it. The car was found on Shamli-Panipat highway by Samajwadi Party workers who were accompanied by the local SDM, India Today reported
The EVM was later opened in front of the district magistrate, who admitted that it was a violation of election security protocols, the report added.
