Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police traced a youth hours after he was allegedly abducted by three miscreants from Delta Square in the Odisha capital on Friday.
In a tweet, Bhubaneswar DCP Umashankar Das said that the youth had apparently fled a de-addiction centre. “All aspects of the incident are being investigated, including the conduct of the centre,” he added.
A video of the alleged kidnapping had gone viral, sending shock waves in the city.
Police later clarified that they were the staff, who were forcefully taking him back to the centre at Kolathia.
The family members of the youth have not filed any complaint against the staff of the centre, sources said.
