Bhubaneswar: Bollywood actor Govinda, who is on a visit to Odisha, offered prayers at Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on the sacred occasion of Vijayadashami, witnessing Lord Jagannath adorned in Suna Besha (golden attire).
The actor also paid homage to Goddess Laxmi, Goddess Bimala, and other deities within the 12th-century shrine complex.
Emerging from the temple, Govinda expressed immense gratitude, perming the darshan of Lord Jagannath on Vijaya Dashami as absolute good fortune. “I bow to this sacred land. May the Lord shower His grace and blessings upon everyone. Jai Jagannath.”
The actor shared that seeking the blessings of Mahaprabhu bestows immense inner strength to navigate life’s toughest obstacles.
The visit to Puri followed an energetic appearance the previous evening at Jharpada Durga Puja mandap in Bhubaneswar. Captivating thousands of devotees and fans, Govinda lit up the grand 110-foot-high pandal with his signature dance moves and classic comedic flair, performing alongside local artists and seeking the blessings of Goddess Durga.
