Born in Cuttack, he had been the president of Sanskar Bharti, and president of Utkal Sahitya Samaj in 2010.
Some of his works are Santha Kabi Achyutananda, Kabi Gopalkrushna, Niraba Kolahala, Achyatananda Gitabali, Asha Brundabana, Ajira Galpa, Surjyastra Upabana, and Kaha Lalita.
