Bhubaneswar: The Central government has approved appointment of two IAS officers of Odisha cadre as additional secretary to the Government of India.
According to an official order issued by Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Sanjay Rastogi, Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.
Similarly, Pramod Kumar Meherda, Managing Director, National Food Security Mission, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.
The ACC has also approved in-situ upgradation of some officers to the level of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the posts held by them. They include Odisha cadre IAS officer Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra, Secretary-cum-Controller of Examination, National Recruitment Agency, Department of Personnel & Training as Secretary-cum-Controller of Examination, National Recruitment Agency, Department of Personnel & Training in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
