Accidental Or Intentional? F-16 Jets Deployed After 3 Planes Violate Airspace Over Trump’s Florida Resort

New York: Three civilian aircraft violated the airspace above US President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, the Daily Mail reported.

The security breach prompted North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) to dispatch F-16 fighter jets, which deployed flares and escorted the planes out of the restricted area.

According to the Daily Mail report, the airspace breaches occurred at 11.05 am, 12.10 pm and 12.50 pm local time.

The breach of Donald Trump’s resort airspace occurred when an aircraft not authorised to enter the restricted area did so.

The airspace around Trump’s luxury resort is a no-fly zone due to security reasons, yet three civilian planes got into that airspace within a span of 13 hours.

It’s obviously an extremely serious security breach.

How the planes entered Palm Beach airspace is still unclear.

A full-fledged investigation is underway, looking into various aspects like whether the entry was accidental, or due to a navigation error, or intentional.

According to local website Palm Beach Post, similar airspace breaches took place over the city during Trump’s visit to Mar-a-Lago in February. Two violations took place on February 15, and one on Presidents Day (February 17).
