Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s champion cyclist Swasti Singh added one more laurel to her glittering collection by winning gold medal at the 37th National Games in Goa.
Eklabya Puraskar winner Swasti finished first in the gruelling 75 km Mass Start (Women) Road Cycling event on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old cyclist had earlier this year won the Women’s Elite 90 km gold at the 74th National Road Cycling Championship in Shirdi, Maharashtra.
Odisha athletes added a handful of more medals to their tally on November 8.
Both the men’s and women’s kho-kho teams claimed silver medals.
In lawn bowls, Kailash Majhi, Sourav Ranjan Maharana, Tarini Prasad Nayak and Narasingha Rana took clinched bronze in Men’s Fours event and Lalit Sharma got bronze in Men’s Singles.
On the penultimate day of the National Games 2023, Odisha were placed 16th in the standings with a tally of 58 medals comprising of 10 gold, 18 silver and 30 bronze.
