Bhubaneswar: Ace Odisha swimmer Pratyasha Ray provided India with a silver lining at the Thailand Age-Group Swimming Championships on Friday.
The 20-year-old Bhubaneswar girl, a JSW Swimming HPC product, finished second in 50m women’s backstroke event to at Bangkok’s Assumption University to claim a silver medal.
After winning a bronze for Odisha in girls’ 50m backstroke at the 2014 Sub-Junior National Championships, Pratyasha announced her arrival on the big stage when she scooped three gold medals at the 2016 Junior National Aquatics meet in Bengaluru.
