Bhubaneswar: The active cases in Odisha dropped below 200 on Saturday as the state saw a consistent drop in new infections with 11 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 22 on Friday and 28 on Thursday.
According to the I & PR Department, 8 are from quarantine and 3 local contacts. Two among them are in the age group 0f 0-18 years. The cases have been reported from 8 of 30 districts in the state.
Here are the district-wise figures of the new cases:
1. Balasore: 1
2. Balangir: 1
3. Cuttack: 1
4. Gajapati: 1
5. Khurda: 2
6. Mayurbhanj: 1
7. Sambalpur: 2
8. Sundargarh: 2
With these cases being detected from 21,995 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.05%.
While Odisha now has 175 active cases, five districts – Keonjhar, Nayagarh, Kalahandi, Koraput and Puri – are free from Coronavirus.
