Bhubaneswar: Odisha-born actor Amrit Kashyap is all set to host a celebrity talk show. With a series of projects lined up, 2022 is likely to be a busy year for the Rourkela boy.
Amrit, who shot to fame for his cameo role in Bollywood movie Chhichhore and a virtual dating show—‘Pyaar Karo Na’— on MTV Beats, has acted in a recently-released webseries—Tuition Ke Baad—on Disney hotstar.
The actor says he is playing a brief role in the web series but will come up with bigger projects in the coming days. “I played the role of a leader of the ‘Brown Munde’ gang in the first episode of the series. This is my first web series. But, this year I will be doing a lot of projects,” he said.
Amrit has also done a cameo for Subhash Ghai’s upcoming film on Zee 5, ’36 Farm House’. He is playing a news anchor in the film. “Hosting shows comes easy to me. I have been doing this since the age of 10,” said Amrit, when asked why he chose to play the role of a news anchor. Amrit will also be seen playing the role of a reporter in another yet-to-release film titled ‘Bini and Baba.’
Besides acting, Amrit has also penned a rom-com web series. “I am pitching it in the industry currently. Screenwriting was one of my elective subjects in college. So, I wanted to utilise my knowledge about writing a script. Moreover, I want to act in the romcom as well,” said Amrit, who also aspires to start a production house.
