Bengaluru: Bollywood actor Boman Irani’s cousin Khursheed Irani was robbed of cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 1 crore.
According to a TOI report, Khursheed is a resident of Embassy Crown apartment on Abbas Ali Road, Bengaluru.
The East division police arrested Khursheed’s maid Mary Alice, 65 and her son Michael Vincent, 22 for allegedly carrying out the robbery.
The accused, who are residents of KG Halli, are currently being interrogated in police custody.
In his complaint, Khursheed stated that 7 gold biscuits weighing 700 grams, Rs 85 lakh cash and US $15,000 (Rs 11 lakh) were stolen from his residence.
Khursheed further revealed that though the theft took place much earlier, he noticed it only in December.
According to police, Alice has been working at Khursheed’s house since 25 years.
Her son Vincent suffered huge losses in Indian Premier League (IPL) betting and hence, the mother-son duo began stealing valuables from Khursheed’s house.
