Cuttack: Actor Buddhaditya Mohanty has filed a police complaint against film producer Pritam Sahu over alleged disparaging social media post by the latter, tarnishing his image.

In his complaint at Bidanasi police station, the actor mentioned about objectionable posts on him and his aunt and veteran actress Maheswata Mohanty on social media, including Instagram, by Sahu during the last seven months.

The producer had allegedly questioned Buddhaditya’s acting capabilities and spread rumours that he was not getting work. He also allegedly body-shamed and age-shamed him, and dismissed his stature in the industry, the actor told the media.

Additionally, he accused the producer of making offensive remarks targeting him in a WhatsApp group.

Bidanasi police station IIC Yuvraj Swain told the media that the matter has been resolved amicably. The producer has submitted a written undertaking that he would not repeat such acts in future, he added.
