Malayalam actor Anil Nedumangad drowned while bathing in the Malankara dam in Kerala’s Thodupuzha on Friday evening.
The 48-year-old actor, who was in Thodupuzha for the shooting of a film, had gone for a swim in the dam reservoir along with two friends after wrapping up the day’s shooting.
“The incident occurred around 6 pm. Only he had entered the water and the other two were standing at a distance. When he didn’t return after sometime, a search was launched. His body was recovered and taken to St Mary’s Hospital,” The Hindu quoted local police as saying.
