Puri: Veteran actress and politician Jaya Prada visited Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri and offered prayers to the sibling deities at the 12th century shrine on Thursday.
The actor, who visited the seaside pilgrim town along with her son Samrat, was escorted by sevayat Madhusudan Singhari from the Singhadwar of the shrine.
Jaya Prada paid obeisance to Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra near the sanctum sanctorum of the temple and wend around the sprawling complex.
The actor, who ruled the hearts of audience for decades, also offered prayers at the shrines of Mahalaxmi and Devi VImla and spent some time inside the complex.
Speaking to media after coming out of the temple complex, the former MP wished the people of Odisha on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami. She said she was feeling blessed after having darshan at the world famous temple.
It may be noted here that Jaya Prada had on Wednesday visited the famous Chandi Mandir in Cuttack and paid her obeisance to the Goddess during her Odisha visit.
