Ludhiana: Actor Jimmy Shergill and national award-winning director Eeshwar Nivas were among 37 people booked by police for violating COVID-19 lockdown rules.
Sub-inspector Harjit Singh told the Hindustan Times that about 150 people were shooting for a web series ‘Your Honor’ at Ludhiana’s Arya Senior Secondary School during curfew hours, at 8 pm on Tuesday.
The Punjab government has imposed complete lockdown in the state during weekends, and curfew on other days from 6 pm to 5 am to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
A case has been registered under IPC Sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), as well as Section 3 of Epidemic Diseases Act.
