Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi and his deputies, K V SIngh Deo and Pravati Parida, on Saturday expressed grief over the death of mother of actor-turned-politician Sidhant Mohapatra.
The CM also visited the residence of Mohapatra, a first-time BJP MLA from Digapahandi, in Bhubaneswar to pay his last respects to his mother. “…offered my condolences to the grieving family. I pray to Lord Shri Jagannath to grant peace to the departed soul and provide strength to the family to bear this loss. Om Shanti,” he posted on X.
“I am deeply saddened and heartbroken to hear the news of the passing of Kanak Mahapatra, the mother of Odisha’s renowned actor and our party’s esteemed Digapahandi MLA, Sidhant Mahapatra. I pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family,” KV tweeted.
In a post on her X handle, Parida said she was saddened to hear the news of the passing of Kanak Mahapatra, mother of the popular actor and party’s Digapahandi MLA. “In this sorrowful time, I express my condolences to his family and pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul. Om Shanti,” she wrote.
