Mumbai: Alia Bhatt’s daughter Raha now has a friend with the same name in the wild, thanks to the actress’ RRR co-star Ram Charan.
While promoting her latest outing ‘Jigra’ in Hyderabad, Alia shared that South Superstar Ram has adopted a wild elephant in Raha’s name as a gift for her.
The gift was not only a real elephant, but Ram, with whom Alia shares a great bond, also sent a wooden elephant for her daughter.
Talking about the special gifts from Ram, Alia said, “A month after Raha was born, I had stepped down to walk for a bit. Suddenly, I had someone coming and telling me, ‘Ma’am, Ram Charan sir has sent an elephant.’ I was stunned. I was like, â
Anything can happen: I might have a giant elephant walking in my building right now.”
âIt was not real; it was a wooden elephant. Very sweetly, he had adopted an elephant in the wild in Rahaâs name. And itâs such a beautiful thing, we call the (wooden) elephant Elle. Itâs right next to our dining table. Raha sits and plays on it, itâs so thoughtful,â she added.
Talking about the bond she shared with her RRR co-star Ram, Alia said that though they didnât meet often during the shoot, they became good friends while promoting the film.
âTarak, Charan and Iâ¦we didnât spend that much time together while working on the film. But during promotions, we spent lord of time. So we became close friends at the time. Whenever Charan is in town (Mumbai)…when Raha was born, itâs a funny story actually,â she said.
Aliaâs latest film âJigraâ with Vedang Raina is currently the talk of the town because of the mixed reactions it received on its opening day.
According to reports, the movie just managed to mint around Rs 4.25 crores on the first day.
