Mumbai: Marathi actor Pranit Hatte has claimed that she was denied a hotel room for being a transgender.
Pranit shared a video on Instagram where she mentions that she and others had booked rooms in Hotel Pooja International at Nashik where they went for a show.
They furnished documents for the booking to hotel staff. However, the authorities informed them that the booking had been cancelled because of the actor’s gender preference.
“Where the f*** should we go? Where are we supposed to go? Are there hotels labelled specifically for transgenders? This is ridiculous and disgusting,” Pranit says in Marathi and English.
Seeking suggestions and help on what steps she should take, Pranit says such attitude towards transgenders should change.
