Bhubaneswar: Odia actor Sritam Das reportedly sustained injuries while shooting for a film, ‘Nabakalebar’, at Banki in Odisha’s Cuttack district.
According to sources, the actor fell off a horse and suffered a fracture in his right arm on the sets of the mythological film. He has been admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar and is likely to undergo a surgery on Thursday.
His fans have wished him speedy recovery.
Sritam has acted in more than 60 Odia films. He started his innings in Ollywood in 1995 with the film, ‘Sabitri’. He also worked as a storyteller, director and actor in ‘Tu Thaa Mu Jauchi Rusi’. He joined the BJP in2014 and was the party’s pick for its mayoral candidate for the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) in 2022. However, he lost to BJD’s Subash Singh.
