Cuttack: Actress Varsha Priyadarshini has filed a police complaint against her husband Anubhav Mohanty’s friend Jagrati Shukla for allegedly tarnishing her image through social media posts.

Varsha on Thursday filed the complaint at Purighat police station in the city. She alleged that Jagrati was involved in defaming her by posting the comments on a social media which would bring disrepute to her.

It may be noted that Varsha and her actor-turned-MP husband Anubhav are engaged in a bitter divorce case. On Monday, the Orissa High Court had imposed a stay on the move by the Lok Sabha secretariat to withdraw the spouse card of Varsha.

The high court has also issued notices to the secretary general and deputy director of the Parliament along with the MP.

Earlier, the BJD MP from Kendrapada had earlier filed a divorce petition in Delhi’s Patiala House court alleging that his wife was not allowing sexual relations and natural conjugal life. But, Varsha moved the Supreme Court seeking transfer of the divorce petition to a court in Cuttack.

The star couple of Ollywood have been filing several cases and counter-cases accusing each other on different grounds since then.
