Bhadrak: Adani Dhamra Port in Odisha’s Bhadrak district set a new record in cargo handling on Wednesday by handling 2,26,610 MT in 24 hours.
With this, the port surpassed the earlier record of cargo handling of 1,85,856 MT set on May 30, 2023.
Appreciating the efforts of the officers and workers of the port for the achievement, Dhamra Port CEO Devendra Thakar called upon them to achieve more success in future.
The port facilities are equipped with the latest cargo-handling infrastructure which is not only best-in-class, but also capable of handling the largest vessels calling at Indian shores.
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) is the largest commercial ports operator in the country accounting for nearly one-fourth of the cargo movement. It has presence across 13 domestic ports in seven maritime states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Odisha.
