Dhamra: To help students use their time productively during the summer holidays, a five-day long summer camp was organised here.
The programme was designed to give children a holistic learning experience in a safe and child-friendly space.
Adani Dhamra Port’s Ladies Club, Sanginees, organised the camp and gave training on contemporary life skills, such as Yoga and meditation and resolving problems to improve confidence and communication skills through fun and interactive lessons.
“These life skills will equip children to solve problems, make decisions, think critically, communicate ideas effectively and work well within teams and groups. The course included special features like creative writing, public speaking, innovative drawing, sand painting etc,” said Chief Executive Officer-Dhamra Port, Subrat Tripathy.
The summer camp also included structured recreation with activities like fitness, arts and crafts, music and dance to rejuvenate the students in hot summer.
Children, aged between three and 14 years attended the camp.
The experts were Soubhagyalaxmi Puhan, Santa Sahoo, Jaishree Sharma, Sudha Singh and Jhuli Ranahandol.
The camp, which started on May 9, was concluded on May 14.
