Dhamra: Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) has launched the APSEZ Cricket Premier League 2025, a unique sporting platform designed to promote camaraderie, teamwork, and a spirit of healthy competition among employees across its diverse business units.
The APSEZ Cricket Premier League 2025 is being conducted on a zone-wise basis, covering the West, Central, South, and East Zones. In the East Zone, five teams representing different APSEZ ports are competing. Matches for this zone are being hosted at two venues—Krishnapatnam and Dhamra—offering an exciting platform for regional co
mpetition.
At the Dhamra Cricket Ground in Odisha, the East Zone matches commenced with a fixture between Dhamra Port and Dhamra LNG, which was inaugurated by CEO Debendra Thakar.
Batting first, Dhamra LNG posted a total of 107 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 12 overs. In reply, Dhamra Port successfully chased the target, scoring 109 runs in 7.5 overs to secure victory.
On the second day of the tournament, the first match will be played between Dhamra Port and Gangavaram Port on 20 December 2025, followed by the second match between Gopalpur Port and Dhamra LNG.
The teams qualifying from the East Zone will advance to the Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, and Final rounds, which will be held in Ahmedabad. Through this initiative, APSEZ continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to employee engagement, well-being, and fostering a culture of unity, collaboration, and excellence across the organization. Notably, this marks the first time APSEZ is conducting cricket tournament at Dhamra Port.
