New Delhi: The BJP on Tuesday appointed Adesh Kumar Gupta as the president of its Delhi unit in place of actor-turned-politician Manoj Tiwari.
Tiwari was given the reins of Delhi in 2016. If sources are to be believed, he had offered to resign after the saffron party’s debacle in the Delhi assembly election, but was asked to continue till an alternative was found.
Gupta earlier severed as North Delhi Municipal Corporation mayor.
