Bhubaneswar: The death case of social activist Aditya Dash continues to throw up new aspects as his mother on Thursday said the ‘psycho woman’ had threatened to kill herself if her son did not marry her.
Aditya’s mother told the mediapersons that the Balasore woman used to call her son frequently and say that she would end her life if he does not marry her. She had threatened Aditya of dire consequences 10 to 12 days before his marriage. She also sent TikTok videos to prove her point.
“We have submitted the conversation and TikTok video stored in Aditya’s mobile phone to the Crime Branch,” she said.
She admitted that Aditya was initially interested to marry her and had sent her photo to the family. Later, he got disgusted with her behavior and refused to marry her, she said. “In fact, Aditya had described the woman as a psycho due to her behavour,” she said.
An aide of the social activist on Wednesday said a woman of Balasore and Aditya were in a relationship for some time. Earlier, Aditya’s father alleged that a Gujarat-based woman had an one-sided love affair with his son and she might have killed him.
Aditya was found dead on the railway track near Lingaraj Temple Road station here on July 7.
While DGP Abhay had directed the Crime Branch to investigate the case, which was earlier probed by the Government Railway Police (GRP), Aditya’s wife and parents have demanded a CBI probe.
