Bhubaneswar: With the Crime Branch investigation into the mysterious death of social activist Aditya Dash yet to come to any conclusion, an NGO has demanded before the Governor for CBI probe.
The NGO, ‘People For Seva’, through which Aditya was running an old-age home in the city, submitted a memorandum to Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal seeking investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the case.
The NGO stated that since the Crime Branch has made no headway and its probe is moving at a snail’s pace, the case should be handed over to the CBI.
After the GRP, which had initially taken up the investigation, failed to ascertain the cause of the motivational speaker’s death, DGP Abhay had ordered probe by the state Crime Branch.
Adiya’s body was found near the railway tracks of Lingaraj Temple Road railway station in the city on July 7.
