Mumbai: Actor Yami Gautam and filmmaker Aditya Dhar have reportedly relocated from Mumbai to Himachal Pradesh, making the hill state their new permanent base.
The move is said to be driven by their preference for a more peaceful and private lifestyle.
While the couple has largely stayed away from the public eye when it comes to their personal lives, they are reportedly dividing their time between their Himachal home and Mumbai due to professional commitments.
Himachal, meanwhile, has long held a special significance for Yami. Before her marriage, the actor bought a 100-year-old heritage house on a 25-acre property in Gohar, Mandi, which is closely associated with her family and childhood memories.
The property became even more special to the couple after they got married there in June 2021.
Their Himachal home features traditional wood-and-stone architecture and is surrounded by gardens where apples, potatoes, plums and ginger are grown.
The couple has reportedly chosen to keep the property understated rather than develop it into a typical celebrity residence.
Their approach is also in keeping with their preference for maintaining a low-profile life when they are away from their film projects.
On the work front, Yami is gearing up for the release of ‘Nayyi Navelli’. Directed by Balaji Mohan, the fantasy family entertainer is scheduled to hit theatres on October 16, 2026. Yami plays Mohini, a newly married woman whose brother-in-law suspects that she could be a witch.
Aditya, meanwhile, is yet to announce his next directorial venture following the ‘Dhurandhar’ films. He is reportedly considering three projects, including The Immortal Ashwatthama, a historical epic and a sports drama, although his next film has not yet been confirmed.
