Cuttack: In a show of unity, the villagers of Keringa in Raisunguda panchayat under Salepur block of Odisha’s Cuttack district did what the government failed to do over years.
The villagers had been drawing the attention of the administration towards the bad condition of the village road. They were repeatedly urging the administration to repair the road, but all their pleas went in vain, locals fumed.

Theereafter, the incident triggered sharp reactions from various outfits and leaders of opposition parties.
Salepur MLA Prashant Behera along with tehsildar and BDO inspected the road condition. They had assured the villagers of getting it repaired, but nothing happened, villagers lamented, saying that all got united and decided to repair the road with their own effort.
