Bhubaneswar: The admission into Plus II courses in junior colleges began in Odisha on Monday.
Students selected for the first phase admission according to the first cut-off marks published by the School and Mass Education department, will take admission at their preferred colleges.
A total of 3,41,927 students have been selected for admissions into Arts, Commerce, Science, Sanskrit and Vocational Education streams.
The admission will continue till July 5.
The second cut-off list will be declared on July 10 while the second phase admission will be held on July 11 and 12.
Regular classes will begin from July 24.
As many as 4,41,306 students had registered their names online and offline for admission in 2,001 Plus Two Junior Colleges between June 1 and 23.
In the first cut-off list in Science, the Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School in Cuttack had the highest with 88.83 percent followed by BJB Higher Secondary School in Bhubaneswar (88.33) and Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Neelakantha Nagar in Berhampur (88).
In Arts, Sainkul College in Ghasipura block of Keonjhar district had the highest cut-off at 78.97 percent while the highest cut-off while the BJB Higher Secondary School in Bhubaneswar had the highest cut-off for Commerce at 78.2 percent.
