Kendrapada: Amid reports of lack of cleanliness at the famous Sri Baladevjew temple in Odisha’s Kendrapada district, the administration has been asked to take immediate steps to set things right and keep the complex clean.
Official sources said that the Endowment Commission has sent a communication to the district administration of Kendrapada with a directive to undertake quick cleanliness drive on the shrine premises.
The administration has been directed to initiate immediate steps in this regard and complete the cleanliness work at the 300-year-old temple by December 16. The district authorities have been directed to send a report to the Commission in this regard by the end of this month.
The move comes after several devotees visiting the temple expressed serious concern over the prevailing condition in the temple. They claimed that the temple complex had virtually turned into a godown.
