Kyiv: A major escalation in the Russia-Ukraine conflict prompted the Indian embassy in Kyiv to issue a warning for all Indian nationals living in war-torn Ukraine.
The Embassy advised Indians to avoid all non-essential travel to and within Ukraine, and also asked them to strictly follow safety and security guidelines issued by the Ukrainian government and local authorities.
“They’re requested to keep the Embassy informed about status of their presence in Ukraine to enable the Embassy to reach out to them, where required,” stated the advisory.
This came hours after Ministry of External (MEA) issued a statement saying that it is deeply concerned at the latest escalation of conflict in Ukraine.
Russia launched multiple missile attacks on several Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, in retaliation to Ukraine’s alleged bombing of a massive bridge connecting Russia with Crimea.
