Bhubaneswar: Athletics Federation of India (AFI) president Adille Sumariwalla was all praise for the under-construction Indoor Athletics Stadium that is coming up within the Kalinga Stadium premises.
Sumariwalla, a former sprinter who represented India at the 1980 Moscow Olympics, took a round of India’s first-ever indoor athletics stadium, and was accompanied by Sports Secretary R Vineel Krishna and officials of Department of Sports and Youth Services.
Sumariwalla expressed his appreciation for the world-class infrastructure being created by the Odisha government to promote sports in the state.
He interacted with the athletes of Odisha Reliance Foundation Athletics HPC and encouraged them to maximise the facilities and opportunities made available to them.
