After 2 COVID-19 Cases, Bisra Town In Sundargarh Declared ‘Containment Zone’

Sundargarh: The Sundargarh administration on Sunday declared five areas at Bisra in the district as containment zone for next 48 hours after two residents of the town tested positive for novel coronavirus the previous day.

Sundargarh Collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan said that the focus will be on door-to-door screening to trace the contacts of the positive cases. He appealed to people of the 1500 households at Bisra to remain at home.

To restrict movement of people, the entry points at Dareikela, Puruna Bisra, Budheljar and Santoshpur have been sealed and fire personnel engaged to disinfect the area, sources said.

Meanwhile, the two COVID-19 patients have been admitted to the COVID Hospital in Rourkela.
