After 5 National Panchayat Awards, Odisha CM Calls For More Success In Grassroots Governance



Bhubaneswar: Expressing immense pride over Odisha winning five National Panchayat Awards, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday described the achievement as a significant honour for the state and called for more such success.

“Securing 5 National Panchayat Awards in the National Panchayat Awards-2025 held in New Delhi is a matter of immense pride and honour for us. Ganjam district has received 3,


while Keonjhar and Sundargarh districts have each received one award. This success, reflecting the collective participation, good governance, and uninterrupted service mindset at the grassroots level, has further inspired us towards building a developed Odisha, Majhi said in a post on X”

The Chief Minister congratulated the district administrations, officers, public representatives, and local people of the award-winning districts for their commendable performance.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the concerned district administrations, officers, public representatives, and local populace for this commendable achievement. May this endeavour and streak of success of ours expand even further in the days ahead,” he added”, read his post.

Notably, the National Panchayat Awards recognise excellence in governance, service delivery, and sustainable development at the grassroots level. Odisha’s strong performance, particularly Ganjam’s three awards, highlights the state’s focus on effective Panchayati Raj institutions.
