Bhubaneswar: The regional meteorological centre here has forecast rain and thundershower in parts of Odisha from December 27.
The following is the rain forecast due to a fresh Western Disturbance, according to the Met office’s midday bulletin.
Dec 27
Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely at one or two places over Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Keonjhar.
Dec 28
Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely at one or two places over Bargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur and Bhadrak.
Dec 29
Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely at one or two places over Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Angul and Dhenkanal.
On Saturday, dry weather prevailed over the state. Dense fog was recorded at one or two places in Koraput district, while shallow to moderate fog was recorded at one or two places over Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Khurda in coastal Odisha, and Angul, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Malkangiri in interior Odisha.
The maximum temperature of 30.5 degrees Celsius was recoded at Bhawanipatna and the minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius was recorded at Sundargarh.
