Bhubaneswar: After considerable drop in temperature across Odisha following rain in last few days, the mercury is likely to rise again from March 1, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday.
While light to moderate rainfall occurred at some places over the districts of north Odisha, dry weather expected to be experienced during the next one week.
Minimum temperature has appreciably fallen by about 2-4°C at one or two places in the last few days, while it was appreciably below normal by about 3-4°C at one or two places over interior Odisha.
The highest maximum temperature of 35.6°C was recorded at Malkangiri during the last 24 hours, while the lowest minimum temperature of 12.5°C was recorded at Phulbani during the period.
The weather agency said there will be no large change in minimum temperature (night temperature) during next 4 days. Thereafter, minimum temperature is likely to rise by 2-3 degree Celsius in the state.
The day temperature in Bhubaneswar is likely to touch 35 degree Celsius after two days.
