Bhubaneswar: A joint team of Airfield Police and Quick Action Team (QAT) on Tuesday busted a duplicate ghee manufacturing unit at Kaibalya Nagar in the Sundarpada area here.
The joint team carried out a raid at the illegal factory and seized a huge amount of adulterated ghee, machines, and raw materials used to prepare the product.
Police are also investigating the supply chain and root of the illegal trade. Commissionerate Police had unearthed major adulterating manufacturing units and several other spurious food processing units in the Cuttack area.
Fake units manufacturing duplicate tea to synthetic paneer, ghee, and even edible oils were unearthed in Cuttack.
