Bhubaneswar: Ollywood actor Partha Sarathi Ray, who is currently in news for the success of his latest film ‘Dalcheeni’, will soon be seen in a music video.
Actress Arupa Rath has been cast opposite Partha in ‘Sagarika’, which will be released this month.
“This music video is on separation of a lovebird. I am playing a writer, remembering the good times spent with his beloved. I did this music video, as I fell in love with the song,” said Partha.
Smruti R is the director and the song was shot at Binjharpu, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.
“This is among the eight songs written and composed by noted music director and composer Prem Anand. ‘Sagarika, Mu Asahaya’ is a beautiful song in ghazal style. Shasank Shekhar has lent voice to the song,” said Smruti.
Notably, Prem Anand has for the first time composed Odia songs in ghazal style for an album ‘Antahswara’. Other songs are, ‘Katha Deithila’, ‘Emiti Hasucha’, ‘Tumaku Chadi’, ‘Tume asila pare’, ‘Mo pain se dina”, “Mo samana ghara jhia’ and ‘Pruthibi pain prarthana’.
‘Sagarika’ is Smruti’s 84th direction. He will also direct other music videos of the album ‘Antahswara’.
“The music video will be released this month but the date is yet to be finalized,” informed Smruti.
While the director of photography is Biswajt Kuldi, the music video has been produced by Naveen Bhandari and Amara Muzic.
It is Partha’s fourth music video with the last being released in 2018. He was seen in ‘Tera Chehra’, a single featuring Partha and Namrata Sengupta. He had played a physically and mentally challenged guy, though not wheelchair-bound.
In 2007, two music videos of Partha were released.
