Bengaluru: After Delhi, nearly 40 schools in Bengaluru received bomb threats via e-mail on Friday morning, leading to panic among students, teachers and parents. Police teams have rushed to all locations and search operations are underway.
Schools in R R Nagar and Kengeri were among those targeted, the police said. Cyber experts are making all efforts to trace the sender of the mail.
Sources revealed that the sender could be suffering from mental health issues. In the mail, he has spoken about how psychiatrists or psychologists were unable to cure him. The sender also said that a/he would take her/his own life after the blasts.
“Hello. I am writing to let you know that I have placed several explosive devices (Trinitrotoluene) within school classrooms. The explosives are skillfully hidden, in black plastic bags,” the sender has stated.
The sender then goes on to say: “I will erase every last one of you from this world. Not a single soul will survive. I will gladly laugh when I watch the news, only to see the parents show up at the school and be greeted by the cold, dismembered bodies of their children.”
“You all deserve to suffer. I truly hate my life. I will commit suicide after the news kicks in. I will slit my throat and slit my wrists,” the sender goes on to state.
“I was never truly helped. Psychiatrists, psychologists, no one has ever cared and no one will ever care. You only care about medicating the helpless and clueless humans. Psychiatrists never tell you that those meds ruin your organs …..,” the mail states.
Earlier in the morning, over 20 schools in Delhi received bomb threats. This was the fourth occasion in a week that educational institutions in Delhi received such mails.
