After Hockey, Odisha To Sponsor National Kho Kho Team

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced to sponsor the National Kho Kho team for three years.

According to a release from CMO on Friday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi took the decision on sponsoring National Kho Kho in line with national hockey team.

As per the decision, the government will sponsor the Kho Kho team from January 2025 to December 2027. The government will spend Rs 15 crore in this regard at the rate of Rs 5 crore every year. The fund will be sourced from the Odisha Mining Corporation.

Besides encouraging national kho kho players, the decision will promote Odisha in national and international levels as a brand of sports promoter, the release stated.
