Mumbai: Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut was at her sarcastic best as Kamala Harris lost to Donald Trump in the US Presidential elections 2024.

Kangana, who keeps calling out Bollywood celebrities for nepotism and discrimination, has now targeted Hollywood celebrities by holding them responsible for Kamala’s defeat.

Calling Hollywood celebs ‘clowns’, Kangana wrote on her Instagram handle, “Do you know Kamala’s ratings went drastically down when these clowns endorsed her, people thought she was frivolous, flaky and untrustworthy for hanging out with such people (laughing face emoji).”

During the election campaigns, around 200 Hollywood celebrities extended their support to Kamala, while only a handful of celebs backed Trump.

Apparently happy for Trump on his sweeping victory, Kangana shared a special congratulatory message for the winner along with a unique meme.

She had shared a picture of Trump after the assassination attempt on him earlier this year and wrote, “If I were American, I would vote for the one who got shot, dodged it, got up, continued his speech, Total killer.”

Here’s how other Bollywood celebrities reacted to Trump’s victory:

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan shared an encouraging message for Kamala Harris, who lost at the elections.

Actor-comedian Vir Das posted on his X handle, “Well, this Emmy monologue is going to be fun 🙂 The energy in the room is going to be….”

Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri seemed to be unhappy with Trump’s victory. “I am right-wing in the Indian context, but I can never, ever support anyone who opposes abortion rights and supports guns. Baaki haal chaal thik thak hain,” he wrote.

Director Hansal Mehta reposted a tweet from director Ali Abbasi and wrote, “Fascist with a capital F. That’s @realDonaldTrump whose name was once correctly pronounced as ‘Doland’.”

After the results were declared, Mehta tweeted, “Game over for Harris?”

Republican nominee and former President Trump, who needed 270 electoral college votes to pip Democrat candidate Kamala, reached 277 with counting in a handful of states still to be completed.
