New Delhi: Union Minister of State S P Singh Baghel has been moved from Law Ministry to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a communique from Rashtrapati Bhawan said on Thursday.
“Prof S P Singh Baghel, Minister of State be assigned as Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in place of Minister of State in the Ministry of Law and Justice.”
This came hours after Kiren Rijiju was moved from the Law Ministry to relatively low-key Ministry of Earth Sciences. Arjun Ram Meghwal has replaced him as Minister of State with Independent charge of the Ministry of Law and Justice.

Rijiju had courted controversy having criticised the collegium system of appointing Supreme Court and High Court judges and described it as being “alien” to the Constitution.
