Chennai: Tamil Nadu on Sunday became the second state after Maharashtra to extend the COVID-19 lockdown till May 31.
Earlier, Punjab and Mizoram had made similar announcements. Telangana, on the other hand, has extended the lockdown till May 29.
The Tamil Nadu government has, however, eased travel- and work-related restrictions for 25 of its least-affected districts, including Coimbatore, Salem, Trichy and the Nilgiris, barring containment zones, a NDTV report said.
