After Mrs Canada Crown, Odisha-Born Mitali Panda To Vie For Mrs Universe Title In Seoul

Bhubaneswar: Odisha-born Mitali Panda will be representing Canada at Mrs Universe 2021 pageant to be held in Seoul, South Korea, later this month.

It is childhood dream come true moment for this native of Prasad Rao Peta in Jeypore of Koraput district. “During my childhood, I always had a dream of holding the crown for the spirit of womanhood. Anything worth waiting is always worth having (sic),” she wrote on her Facebook post.

Mital worked with a few IT companies after completing her BTech from Centurion Institute of Technology, Bhubaneshwar. A year after her marriage to Sandeep Verma of Irrigation Colony here in 2017, she moved to Toronto in Canada.

“Truly, this is the land of opportunity and diversity. Being an Indo-Canadian, I am thrilled to announce that I would be representing the nation that I migrated to for a better future. Thanks to my national director Asphandiar Wadiwalla and Mrs Universe team Canada for believing in me and selecting me throughout the journey,” she added.

She had won Mrs Canada Karwachauth beauty contest in 2018 and Mrs Royal Choice in 2019.

Mrs Universe 2021 will span from June 22 to July 1 with the main event being held on June 30.
